PH: Mizan Productions Back in the 80’s, this title is one of the most heart warming tv series in Indonesia. I was asked to do the score, and yes I put the 80’s vibe back in the modern setting of the movie. Sukri and Surti, husband and wife couple, had to return to Cibeureum because Sukri’s father passed away. But soon after the funeral, his mother was involved in a criminal case.

Bangku Kosong (2023)

PH: Starvision Funny thing about the time I worked on this title; I bought a Roland synth at a music shop near my Airbnb in Venice, Los Angeles. Which turned out to be the main sound for this movie. It’s a teen horror. It began with mass possession, and one by one, students died. A terrifying dark force took hostages and terrorized that high-achieving school. Go ahead visit my Instagram page. Suzzanna: Malam Jumat Kliwon (2023)

PH: Soraya Intercine Films After shaman casts a curse on her, a woman is killed by dark sorecery and resurrected as a wrathful spirit who seeks to reunite with her newborn baby. In this another remake of a classic Indonesian horror, I’m back as the composer after the successful of Suzanna: Bernafas dalam Kubur which I also did the score. This time, Guntur Soeharjanto is in charge as the director. Although it’s not supposed to be a sequel, I keep the choir elements just from the previous title. Just for fun.

Dilan 1983 (2024)

PH: Falcon Pictures I would say that I had fun doing this project. Bought a recorder and a melodica, which are used for music lessons in elementary school. So I play the blew those things out. Very happy about that. Dilan is 12 years old in this prequel installment of Dilan 1990 (2018). He came back to Bandung after spent some time in East Timor. He ended up in his old school where a new ethnic Chinese student named Mei Lien. She catched Dilan’s attention right away.

Ancika (2024)

PH: 69 Productions You can say that Ancika is a spin-off from Dilan 1990 (2018). So because of that, some of the instruments like steel guitar and clarinet are still being used in this title. One of the newest element would be a touch of folk and country here and there. Which I personally loved how it sounds. Former motorcycle gang leader Dilan, fell in love with Ancika, a girl who despises motorcycle gangs. Short story, Dilan has to figure out a way to win her heart as she is very different from Milea, Dilan’s ex.

Hello from 2023!

What’s up? Haven’t write for a while but boy I’m very excited for 2023! Here’s a quick update: Bayi Ajaib A remake from a classic Indonesian horror, this film marked another collaboration of me and director Rako Prijanto. Rako and I went way back few years ago when we did the award winning and box office “Teman Tapi Menikah”. Bayi Ajaib still in theaters now.

New York Fashion Week: Indonesia Now

This time I'm working on something outside of film. I made music for 6 talented Indonesian fashion designers in a show called Indonesia Now. Each fashion designer has his own characteristics, but all of them use traditional elements such as batik and weaving from various regions in Indonesia. I had to make music that represented not only the designer but his designs and the traditional elements he brought with him. I can say that I am very satisfied with the result.
