So excited!
I’m now working on the music score for WARKOP DKI Reborn: Jangkrik Boss!, remake version of some remarkable movies of the original WARKOP DKI, previously played by the late Dono and Kasino, and Indro in the 80s.
I am very pleased and honoured to have been given this opportunity, since I grew up watching this legendary group’s hilariously funny acting and their genius sense of humor on the television.
I remember my dad took me to the movie theatre to see one of WARKOP DKI’s movie.
It brings back my childhood memory, when watching them over and over has never made me bored and always filled my days (especially my Idul Fitri holiday –because some of local televisions put their movies on a loop) with laughter.
Still can’t believe I’m trusted to be a part of this transformation, especially I will have to rearrange the WARKOP DKI’s legendary theme song.
I even bought some new musical equipments to help me create the score.
The movie itself is now on the post-production phase and will be released in two parts. The first one will be released on September 8, 2016.
This will be the first time I work with the Director, Mr Anggy Umbara (Comic 8, Mama Cake) and the third time I work with Falcon Pictures Production House.
